I plan to paint my car myself for the first time and need advice(flakes)
Hello everyone,
I plan to paint my car and want to use some flakes(2oz for the whole car) to get a little pop of color.
I was unsure if I needed a clear base for it to work or could I just use the clear coat.
My main concern with mixing the flakes into the clear is that when you apply the flakes you need to be constantly shaking the gun so that the flakes are distributed evenly within the liquid, this could potentially introduce air bubbles and mess up the layer even if it is sanded with 600-800 grit after. Will I have the same issue if I have the clear base?
