I just wanted to share a positive story of having k-tips for about a year now.

I often see stories of how damaging k-tips are to your hair, but my experience has been the opposite. I just had mine removed and reinstalled yesterday and took a pic of my natural hair before the reinstallation. The second pic is before I ever had k-tips installed and the last was one year into wearing them.

In about a year I have had massive length growth and new growth with far less breakage. I believe this is because I’m doing so much less bleaching due to the extensions, as well as better haircare in general.

If you’re concerned about damaging your hair with k-tips, I just encourage you with proper haircare (oiling ends, repair shampoo, sleeping in silk bonnets, heat protectant, brush technique) and more importantly proper installation and removal with a knowledgeable stylist, you can absolutely maintain and improve hair health while wearing k-tips.

My friend and her family were out of town this Sunday when their dog, an Aussie/Doodle mix named Teddy, escaped their dog sitter’s home off Rio Wrangler. They immediately came home and have been searching everyday for Teddy, but have had no luck with any leads since Monday.

If you see Teddy, please reach out to the number on the flyer. The family is understandably devastated, and unfortunately Teddy was lost in an area unfamiliar to him so won’t be able to get back home.
