First time building my LS3. I have a GPI SS4 cam with the fixed (non-adjustable) 3-bolt GM 12586481 gear. The cam card calls for a 109° intake centerline.

Do I need to degree the cam, or is it fine to install the timing set dot-to-dot and send it? I know degreeing verifies where the cam actually ends up, but since the gear isn’t adjustable, I’m wondering if it’s really necessary.
