Hi everyone!

Over the past year I’ve been building a small app called FriendMap. The idea is to help people discover local communities based on shared interests and hopefully make it easier to meet new people nearby.

I’m starting with Carlow, and I’m looking for some honest feedback while it’s still in its early stages. If you have a few minutes to take a look or try it out, I’d really appreciate hearing what you think—good or bad.

Maybe I’m overthinking this, but it feels like it’s easier than ever to find people online who share your interests, yet much harder to find those same people locally.

It feels like most advice boils down to either:
randomly approaching strangers, using social media, or joining clubs that may or may not exist nearby.

If you moved to a new town tomorrow, how would you actually new meet people?

Genuinely curious what people think.
