I've decided to have a go with a full ranged party on my current HM run.

I am playing Shadowheart origin and party consists of:

- Astarion as Gloom Assassin (final build being a well tested GS 5/A 5/F 2)

- Lae'zel as pure Arcane Archer, as I've never played one or had as companion before

- Karlach as Throwzerker (final build being also good old TB Berserk 9 / Thief 3)

- Shadowheart (me) as Swords bard with dual hand crossbow.

... and here I have a problem, as up until now I didn't like playing as bard, but I am at level 4 and really enjoy the dual hand crossbow style.

How do I build her though?

So far I have a level 4 Swords bard with sharpshooter with 8/18/14/8/10/16 (+1 DEX from from Ethel already included).

What's next? Any multiclassing? and other important feats or just ASI?

After almost 900h I finally decided to give mods a try.

I want huge party, I want all to join the journey and the fight, I want them to be powerfull...

So I've installed Pixelbytes' mods to remove party size cap and make it more difficult, I've removed level cap so all can go up to level 20. And on top of that I've installed something to make Wild Magic surges more frequent, since I play pure Wild Magic Sorcerer this time 😄

I've just came to the grove and it feels way to easy so far. So I wonder what to do with the difficulty?

Is it enough to use preset in the Pixelbytes' mod to make it 2x or 3x Honour Mode difficulty? Or should I install something more?

I want to test some subclasses I've never played or that I think are suitable from RP point of view. It's gonna be something like this:

(not sure about Gale, since he always was Evocation or abjuration wizard in my playthroughs, but I am missing idea here ... suggestions?)

Why do duergars react to parasites?

Gloom stalker 5 /Assassin 3 /Battle Master 4 is the aim.

With Titanstring Bow and STR elixirs of course.

I used it many times already, but first time on Durge/Tav.

I'm attempting solo HM and so far (end of act 1) there's just no issues for this build.

Starting from the beach up to level 4 was a bit tricky, but good deal of hiding and sneaking, attacking and disengaging did the trick.

Then came Sharpshooter and made it even easier with most of the goblins being one-shots.

Level 5 with extra attack boosted fights even more (or should I say assassinations 😉).

The Deathstalker Mantle trivializes disengaging on top of all.

I know it was discussed here 1,589,736,412 and a half times already, but I need to vent anyway.

It's my 4th full playthrough, 1st as Dark Urge, and I decided to side with Emperor this time.

I viewed him as necessary evil, ever since he revealed himself in my first run, but thought it will be perhaps different this time.

I went to House of Hope to get the loot (Amulet of Greater Health, Helldusk set, Staff of Spellpower) and decided to free Hope as well (I like her 😊).

So I came back to Devil's Fee and Emperor goes again on this rant that I don't trust him, if I have to have the hammer. Since there were no better options, I said I took it as a backup plan, just in case, but promised not to use it.

The audacity! he has to guilt trip me for not trusting him blindly after all the games, tests and half-truths he fed us the entire journey! I am truly disappointed that there's no better dialogue options in this conversation, to point him out his hypocrisy!

Wonder if it would be the same, if I wouldn't take the hammer with me from the HoH?
