What happens to the body when hanged?

What happens to the body when it hangs?

I have autism and I happened to see a video of a person hanging themselves on a livestream, and it unfortunately became kind of a hyperfixation for me. I can't stop thinking about it and it is freaking me out and bothering me, because I feel like I can't quite comprehend it. What helps me in situations like this is when something is explained to me scientifically. So if anyone could explain to me what was happening to this person/ inside her body and if there is any knowledge on how it feels. This would help me process it.

I will explain what I saw in the video in detail, and if you could tell me what was possibly happening to her body in that moment, it would help me.

It started with the girl taking some pills and drinking what I assume was alcohol. Then she walked over towards a door, with a noose that looked like a cord tied to it. It wasn't high up, so she didn't have to hop off from anything. She just kind of settled into it, put the cord around her neck and started leaning forward and against it.

She was quiet for a moment, just remaining still, but then she started coughing and kind of adjusted the noose. Then she started leaning again. She was still, but then started coughing with what sounded like a wet cough, her face was a bit red. I thought she was still well consicious at this point, but within seconds, suddenly her body just dropped forward, legs giving in and she started fully hanging. Immediately her mouth was open, jaw looked dislocated and there was like white foam coming out of it? Her eyes were closed the entire time, but at this point it looked like one of the eyes was bulging out and opened more than the other.

Her body began to spasm, I noticed her hands and feet curled inwards and started to become really red. When she was spasming, her arms started to raise upwards repeatedly, and body slamming against the door behind her. It kind of looked like the body was fighting to get out of the noose.

After some minutes, she stilled and I heard some like crackling/gargling noises. I can't tell if it was more like something from her throat or if it sounded like ligaments or bones breaking, maybe in her neck. Her feet and hands were less curled at this point, she seemed definitely dead. The video ended shortly after that.

I would just like to know what each of these stages were. I also wonder when she lost her consiciousness, how long was she in pain if she was. I do not need to know any details of this person and her life, it would only make the processing harder for me. I just want my brain to conclude the events, to understand them so it sounds more logical and humane to me. Knowing what was happening scientifically neutralizes the horror for me and makes it sound like a natural process. I hope people won't find this weird and off-putting, I am not interested in gore, I am just trying to understand something that I had to witness against my own will.

A subreddit where I could ask a detailed question about a gory event

This might sound crazy, but trust me I'm serious. I have autism and I happened to see a gore video and for me to be able to process it, I want someone to explain to me scientifically what is happening in the human body during each state that I witnessed. I have a detailed explanation of what happened in the video and would want someone to break down what was possibly happening in the body during it. It would help me process it and neutralize the whole thing in my head instead of it bothering me 24/7.

So where can I ask this unconvenient, gory and kind of a crazy question?
