In field property with Erie, exploring a carrier move.
Long story very short I got burned by poor company management and then 'coaching' performance improvement process the company conducted in bad faith. I still have my job but it chapped my ass enough that I want out, maybe even out of insurance entirely.
I have a couple years of experience doing basically the equivalent of medical claims handling at a law firm, as well as a couple years at my current position in field property. I need to make at least $65k (current salary) to keep up with my current expenses. Any suggestions for a carrier or job path is welcome.
I have heard TPAs can be a great place to work, or a carrier with relatively reasonable KPIs and workloads (I know I know. lol. lmao.) If possible I'd like to get out of field work or at least something that is less directly customer facing.
I am also interested in going to the dark side and doing estimating for contractors but have no idea how to break into that.
