I made myself some ham on toast this morning. I bought 2 packets of ham on the same day and the one I finished had the 19th use by date. I got the other pack out and didn’t think to check the date. I ate approximately one piece but when getting it out the packet I noticed it had a slimy film feel to it… WHY DIDNT I CHECK THE DATE?!?! I ate approximately one piece from what was a sealed packet which had been refrigerated. I go on a business trip which is a 2 hour drive later today and I am terrified I am going to be ill. The use by date was 15th and I ate the ham on 16th at 10:30am. Please can someone give some anecdotal experience that I will be fine because ChatGPT isn’t helping 😭
