Looking for legal help - uncontested divorce

I recently received the divorce papers and I’m looking for some advice on what to do next. The divorce is completely mutual, we don’t have kids, and we don’t own anything together, so there aren’t really any complicated issues between us.

Even though everything is amicable, I feel like I should still have someone who understands family law look over the papers, explain everything to me, and make sure I understand what I’m signing before I sign anything.

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer or someone in the St. John’s area who does this kind of straightforward/uncontested divorce work? I’m not looking to make things complicated or drag it out — I just want to make sure everything is done properly and that I understand the documents.

Given name is black in COPR, Citizenship and Passport - What should I do?

Hey Everyone,

I'm a new Canadian citizen and I'm facing issues while applying to dental or any other official documents. In all my records:

My given name is blank
My full name is listed under my surname (last name) field

Because of this, I am facing problems of applying OCI and so many other documents. My questions are should I try to legally correct or update my name with IRCC?

Or is it ok to leave it as-is would I run into problem if I try to change my name here ?

Advice please..
