I noticed this on every JK we looked at, along with many ways to fix/avoid it.
I don’t really want to spend the money for plastic guards that go over the sill. I have a couple spray cans of PlastDip I’m thinking of using. Has anyone here tried that? If so, how did it work out? Thanks!

There were in a tool kit I purchased in 1974. Never needed them, but always kept them.

Yesterday I actually needed on for a recessed bolt I couldn’t get my fingers into to catch it as it came out. Worked perfectly!

And my wife says I keep too much worthless stuff…
