Switching from endurance to race
Have you switched from an endurance geometry to a race/aero one? How was the experience? Did you adapt quickly to the new riding position? Would you do it again? Did you notice an increase in your performance?

How do you feel about MVTs as a casual wear T to be out and about and not look like you’re on your way to the gym?
Background: I use Zeroed In Ts as my day-to-day wear and MVT Ts to go to the gym. My ZI’s are showing signs of wear so I need to start replacing some but I have plenty of MVTs. I am retired so I am in shorts and t-shirts most of the time but I try not to look like a bum. Casual shorts are mostly the ABC in warpstreme.
Traveling from LAX to Long Beach, it’ll either be an $80 uber ride or $1.75 metro. What would a local do? Is the metro safe (during the afternoon)? Will I be ok with light luggage? I have ptsd from the subway in NYC.
I searched the sub but available info on the metro seems quite dated. AI says I should be ok but that there’s a lot of homeless and drug use.

I am posting to celebrate my first sub-8kg trip with onebag. The trip was 1-month in the Mediterranean split bewteen cruising and land travel in very mild climate. Lows for the trip were in the 50s°F and highs in the mid-80s°F. This is a milestone for me thanks to the tips in this sub.
I carried a Monos carry-on plus the REI crossbody in the picture. I have found the rule of threes works for me. Three pairs of briefs, 3 pairs of socks, 3 every day shirts and 3 pants. I added 2 polos, 1 button down shirt and a nicer pair of shoes for use in the cruise. Not pictured are my tennis shoes (Nike TR1) and a Kindle reader. Everything was used except for the rain jacket (Helly Hansen verglas). I can probably get down to under 7 kg without the cruise-specific items.
The suitcase was only half-full. So, why the Monos vs my strandard Herschel 30L backpack? Because of anticipating all the junk the wife would buy.

Seeking recommendations for casual men’s button down shirt. I regularly travel with either quince merino t shirts or Lululemon zeroed in and these work very well for sink laundry and quick dry.
Do you have a favorite for button down that holds up well to sink laundry?
