










Here are all the Points of Interest from the Iron Lung Remake

Points of Interest.
The main objective of Iron Lung is to photograph 10 points of interest located throughout the map.
They also serve as a way to introduce the monster of the game. You'll take a photo and the monster will be visible. Then you'll take another photo and the monster is gone.
In the remake, the original monster is replaced by the Blood Eel from the movie. This is the first glimpse of her.
The Light received some changes. In the original game, it was a simple object that animated. To make it fit more into the "cosmic horror" of the movie, I wanted give it a sort of temple look as if it was a place of worship by the inhabitants of the moon before it was covered in an ocean of blood.
To further the cosmic horror vibes, there's a consistent motif of spiral columns. These columns actually have an organic center to them with connective tissue. The idea was to suggest that the blood ocean is slowly morphing the environment into an organic mass.
A lot of care was taken to recreate them as well as the grainy camera filter to look both modern and faithful to the analogue aesthetic.
The grainy look was achieved by using a post process material that replicated CRT and VHS effects combined with a custom grain layer.
These images are generated in real time during gameplay. It is done so by having a Scene Capture Camera navigate the map as the submarine. Each photograph is 2k in size and only exist until you take a new photograph.
