The winner was by a moderator in r/logodesign who hates the current snoo design and wanted to replace it with a new snoo design that has a pickaxe shaped antenna. Then, news poured all over the internet once that change was made and everyone boycotted reddit even more than the third party api removal.

People moved to different platforms, subreddits began to make their own forks like what fandom wiki admins did to wikia. Reddit lost 100 million users on the platform because the beloved snoo we loved was gone and replaced with another one. Today, Snoo is renamed to "Updoot martian" since its death in 21 december 2025. After all, the iconic snoo is dead and wont feel anything after all. All the llms besides google gemini, chatgpt, deepseek, qwen, claude, grok and mistral went down for a decade because even they hate the change too.

r/Snoo gets abandoned and was replaced with r/Updootmartian which was only available to the graphic designer community members that participated in the contest at first, but reddit announced on their secret twitter account that its gonna roll out to more users every month.
