This may seem like a silly little thing - because it is. But I wish there was a way to run Cachy-Update with just my mouse.
I like to sit back and kick my feet up while I run updates and these prompts make me have to lean forward and use my keyboard to type 'y' and 'enter'. It's awful! :D
In all seriousness, CachyOS has been great so far. I'm loving it.
Did anyone else pick one of the People's Service Stations as their Primary Residency and loving it?
Previously I resided on New Babbage and Orison and I was in the thick of it. Surrounded by players and low server frame rates. Orison was especially crazy last patch due to the Bar music playing so loud it could be heard from 30 km away. :D
This time I decided to pick a place off the beaten path. I love the aesthetic of the stations in Nyx. Pyro stations are a dump heap and Stanton is too sterile. Nyx has the perfect “lived in” balance. Levski is often overcrowded and I'm not a huge fan of waiting on the vertical people movers so I thought I would give a PSS a try.
I chose Alpha. Similar distance to both Gateways and Levski. I have to admit, at first the QT to get anywhere was a bit of a drag, but after I upgraded my quantum drive it wasn’t so bad. Then I realized how perfect it really is for me. These stations have everything you need before setting out on any adventure. No elevators besides the Hangar elevators to slow you down. And the very low population provides a much smoother experience. I can do missions around Nyx or just take a quick hop over to Stanton or Pyro and spend my session there. It feels great at the end of a long playthrough, traveling back to my “secret base” out in the boonies with any loot I managed to gather.
Hopping in my Aurora Mk II to jump over to DefenseCon to rent a ship makes me feel like an old time farmer loading up the wagon for a day trip into town to see about one of them fancy new motorized tractors. I love it.
