Which Chapter in WOK convinced you that you are going to love this series

Chapter 11

Tbh I wasn't really feeling twok in early chapters and Szeth was awesome but shallan and dalinar earlier pov didn't really hooked me

Kaladins first bridge run was horrible but after reading dust of dream i am not easily shocked I just read the part and wasn't really moved

But the chapter 11 decisions brought tears to my eyes

Kaladin having enough with life and deciding to go to honor chasm , even gaz (f this guy) showing a shred of dignity and human decency

And syls pure innocence convincing kaladin to try onece again, it was this moment for me, that I will absolutely love this series

This series obviously has epic moments with Szeth dalinar Adolin and kaladin having epic stands against unbelievable odds but this is the chapter I love to revisit even though it barely had any action or "plot relevance" just because how heart warming it is

Tell me your unimportant side characters you want to know more about and why

Lin Davar, he was a horrible man but I can't help but be curious how was this guy making a play for the title of high price and why would ghost blood hand him a soul caster

Redin The bastard son of jah keved's king

This guy was ready to end shallans nightmare only if one of her brothers just stood up for themselves, later he most likely faught in ja keved civil war and somehow survived and most likely contributed to his father becoming king and in exchange he was coerced to kill his father and see his kingdom fell to ruin

I want to know what happened to this guy because he reminds of me Jon snow

F Moash

I never understood why their was so much hate for moash in community, i didn't liked the choices he made but in oathbringer i liked his chapter, he was being manipulated but at the same time i still understood the hatred he felt for elokar and lighteyes

When Moash killed Teft, I was more sad for the death of Teft rather than hating Moash who had given his emotions and now was just a shell of a man

And his plan for kaladin was fucked up but it was atleast some evil twisted form of friendship

But the shit he did in wind and truth while still having all his emotions, fuck this sadistic MF

Fuck Sanderson too, for introducing such amazing bond between sigzil and vienta just to give them a brutally tragic ending

Conflicted feeling about Nale and Szeth

I am in middle of Wind and truth a random Interlude chapter of dyle made me remember the sad chapter of Ym a kind old shoemaker who was a radiant and Nale killed him for a crime he didn't even commit and Nale kept killing young Radiants for who knows how long

Makes you wonder how redemable he really is?

I know Heralds really suffered for the benefit of humanity but these people are also the same people who destroyed a entire planet, started a unending war by pushing into singer territory

At the same time they suffered unimaginable pain and suffering for the benifit and survival of their race and people

So i am really confused how to feel about Heralds, they are broken people but does that really excuse all the crime and harm they have caused (Not counting Taln and Ash)

Same thing about Szeth, we know he hated killing and following taravangians order, but at the same time does that really excuse the unimaginable harm Szeth has caused, hundred's of thousands are dead because of war she started by killing different high princes and kings

Sure he was following orders but same thing can be said about Nazi soldier, i was just following order's

Herald Future Question ??

In ROW stormfather says Ishar can steal bond between stormfather and dalinar because Honor is dead and there no more restrictions on him and Honorable provide unrestricted surges, and Mad Ishar is enjoying his new found freedom

So, Now that honor is dead does that mean, can kaladin use his honor spear to use spiritual Adhesion as there is no restriction on his surge of Adhesion

And most important questions, Can heralds use different lights to fuel these unrestricted surges because after the formation of retribution there is no more automatic unlimited stormlight for heralds

Just share your theories

Unexpected Wholesome Frendship

I am in middle of wind and truth, and during the pilgrimage the friendship between Nightblood, Syl and Nightblood and other Honor blades is somehow so wholesome

Nightblood in shadesmar worrying syl might miss his is just🥰

And the fact there is something similar to Radiant bond between Honor blades and herald is something I wish we get in the future

Question about Ancient Radiants

How the hell did fused ever stood a chance against knight Radiants

We know during recreance thousands of honor spren died, and kaladin alone turned 20+ bridge runners into squires so assume if there were only 2000 honor spren and atleast 10% of them had reached 3rd ideal and had their squires that gives atleast 5000+ windrunners

Let's assume we also had atleast 200 radiants from rest of 8 orders and each had atleast 3 squires and 3 bondsmiths

That gives knight Radiants of atleast 10k+ strength, let's assume only half of them could be deployed still 5000+ Radiants and 10 heralds

From wind and truth we know odium only ever created some 4000 fused with no shardplates or blades since dead eyes only appeared after the recreance then how did fused or more importantly singers ever survived after fused were trapped by heralds

Wouldn't knight Radiants pushed singers to extinction Any traditional army conflict where singer with forms of power fought with couple dozen Radiants with shardplates would be absolute massacre

Aluminium can block shardblade but plate gives superhuman strength which cannot be blocked

Fused can always come back but they still need a body of singers, so if there are no singers no more wars

We know rabonial tried to this by creating a virus to kill humans but failed so shouldn't some radiant have tried this plan

Maybe not wind runners, bondsmiths and will shaper and else caller's whose oaths are more about helping other but some factions like dustbringers and elsecallers could have done this, since Jasna talked about a genocide in oathbringer before kaladin objected to this plan, so we know some spren aren't against wiping singer population

Just finished Rhythm of War and my thoughts on Navani

Navani and Jasna were two characters that i wanted to read more in the first 3 books and, Navani has the most pov chapters in Rhythm of War

Navani is great in rhythm of war, her dynamic with rabonial and sibling were amazing specially rabonial who at first glance was just a traditional one dimensional villain but she really surprised me, both having genuine respect for one another while trying to outmaneuver one another

But one thing i wish we got more from Navani was her past and little less info dumps on how her flying fabrials work

She plotted with dalinar gavilar ialai and sadeus to form alethkar, and we get several hints that she was just as important in forming alethkar, she may not have fought on frontline but she also has blood on her own hands

Her conversation with stormfather during her marriage states she has broken several oaths but we don't got any information on this, but I guess this plotline could have been repetitive with Venli, two women tossed aside after being used, as from her prologue pov we know gavilar had started to push her aside and isolate her from politics

I also wanted more how she influenced elokar and Jasna both her children are so different from one another, this is not something huge because I think we will get this when jasna has her flash back pov

Dabbid

Sanderson has created one of most sympathetic group of characters in bridge 4, most of the bridge 4 only has couple chapters at max but even a character like dabbid is so like likeable

I was reading dabbid pov and The line where dabbid bit his lip imitating lift thinking it would help kaladin is just🥹
