He's so active now (please help with advice)

I got Trench about 2 months ago now and he used to never come out. He is now coming out almost everyday (only in the mornings). He just seems more happy and comfortable now 💙 I'm really looking for things that I can put into his 10 gallon tank that he could climb on I can't find any driftwood that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg and I don't feel safe with getting one from outside because of parasites and mites. I know a lot of people say that they're only diggers but he does seem like he wants to climb even if it's just a little bit.

Trench is grumpy 😐

So I haven't really had many problems with Trenchy until now. He went two weeks without eating which I know is not uncommon for them. But what is uncommon is the fact that he's been really sassy and grumpy lately. Whenever he's out and about he huff and puffs ( cober and tries to make himself big) he's also been musking more. He went from sweet baby boi to grumpy toddler really fast. His temperatures and humidity are fine and he's got a bigger better enclosure with lots of hides and litter. Im worried about handling him because I don't want to stress him out but I also don't want him to get to the point of not liking to be handled.

Trench update 💙💙

I wanted to come on here and let everyone know he's doing great! I had some questions though. I wanted to know if I should continue doing Aspen or switch over to bioactive. I'm worried about the upkeep when it comes to bioactive and upper respiratory infections due to humidity. Right now he's on Aspen and in a 10g I want to get him into a 20g soon so I can have a wider temp gradient. I'm just trying to find somewhere to buy one ( if anyone knows anyone selling in a 50 mile radius of Columbia sc let me know!) He's doing awesome, humidity never goes over 45%. Temperature is 95 on basking 83-86 on hot and 75 on cool I have it all hooked up to thermostats. He has plenty of hides/cover,He's always either in the middle or on the cool side. He has Normal poops.I never really see him though, he's always burrowed down. I've heard a hidden hoggie is a happy hoggie I just wanted to make sure this is true. I want him to be as happy as he can be. I love him more than he could ever know 🥹. I hold him at least 2-3 times a week leaving him alone the day before and after feeding day(Tuesday). He has eaten every time I've offered with no issues or vomiting, except that first time where it took him forever to eat. (new home anxiety probably.) I offered two pinkies last Tuesday and he only took one and left the other completely never going back I took it out 2 hours later. Does this mean I just keep him on one pinky a week? And if so how long? Any advice is great advice he's my little baby noodle boy 💙 my little Trench nugget 💙. (Also he has so much more substrate now this was just one of the only pictures I have where he's out and about!)

I just got my baby boy day before yesterday. I have his whole tank set up he's on Aspen I have it to where the temp in the tank is between 87 and 90° on his hot side. And around 80 to 83 on his cool side. I didn't put real plants in because I was worried about moisture with the Aspen I didn't want mold. Any advice would be great I haven't held him I'm trying to give him a week or so before I try. He eats on Tuesday so I'm hoping to see how that goes. Just please don't be mean He's my first hognose I've only ever had ball pythons.
