Capsule wardrobe people : How many bags do you own?

Hi everyone,

I’m not really following a strict capsule wardrobe system with a set number of items. I’m just trying to gradually simplify my wardrobe and own less overall. I have a separate winter and spring/summer wardrobe, and it’s still not as minimal as I want it to be.

Right now I also have a few smaller bags, and I recently bought a faux leather tote bag because I genuinely needed a bigger everyday bag.

Do actually need more bags, or is what I have already enough?

I feel like I want another medium/bigger bag for different outfits and situations, but at the same time I don’t want to keep accumulating things or undo my progress toward owning less.

Low-buy year + trying to figure out my real relationship with minimalism

Hi everyone,
I’ve been unintentionally doing a low-buy year, and I’m trying to figure out if what I’m doing is actually minimalism or just me overthinking everything I own and buy.
So far this year (end of June), I’ve only bought a few clothing and accessory items:
aviator jacket
leather jacket
waistcoat (vest)
2 belts
cow-print sneakers
white tank top
tote bag

That’s basically it. I also don’t really buy cosmetics anymore, and I try to be very intentional with my spending. I also sell or swap items I don’t use, so my wardrobe is always quite “in motion” instead of growing.

On paper, it feels like I’m doing well with minimalism or at least low consumption. But mentally, I still struggle a lot.

Even when I buy something I actually like and wear, I often feel guilt afterward and start questioning if I really needed it. At the same time, I don’t feel emotionally attached to most material things …
I don’t like owning stuff I don’t use, and I constantly
ask myself if something is actually necessary or not.

Right now I feel like I’m constantly analyzing my choices instead of just living with them. I’m not sure if this is normal in a minimalism journey or if I’m just overthinking it too much.

Has anyone else gone through this kind of mindset shift? How do you find a balance between intentional minimalism and not overanalyzing every single purchase?

I barely buy anything but I still feel like I’m doing it wrong

Hi everyone,

I’ve basically been doing a low-buy year without really planning it, and I’ve become extremely aware of every purchase I make. I don’t really buy cosmetics anymore unless necessary , and overall I’m very intentional with spending, but I still constantly overthink everything.

For context, here’s what I’ve bought this year (so far):
Aviator uniform top
Leather jacket
vest
2 belts
Cow-print sneakers
White tank top
Tote bag

That’s basically it for clothing/accessories.

On top of that, I also have a habit of selling things I don’t use anymore, so I’m constantly rotating my wardrobe instead of just accumulating things.

The issue is not really how much I’m buying (because it’s honestly not a lot), but how much mental space it takes. Even when I buy something I like and actually wear, I still feel guilt afterwards and start questioning if it was necessary.

At the same time, I don’t feel very attached to material things. I don’t enjoy owning “stuff” just for the sake of it, and I often feel like I want a very minimal lifestyle where I only keep what I actually use.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of mindset? How do you stop turning normal purchases into such a big mental thing?

My bracelet is too heavy 😅time for a second one?

I have a 17 cm Pandora Infinity Clasp bracelet, and I think I’ve officially reached its limit. 😅
I’ll attach a photo of all the charms I want to wear. The biggest issue is that once I add my two Muranos, I can barely clasp the bracelet, and it becomes much heavier.
I’m considering buying a second bracelet so I can actually wear all my meaningful charms instead of leaving some in the box.
Has anyone else ended up buying a second bracelet for this reason? Was it worth it, or do you prefer rotating charms on one bracelet?

Let’s see your Pandora bracelets 💫 I need ideas!

Hey everyone! I’ve had my Pandora bracelet for a while, but I only recently started getting really into adding charms and building it up.
Now I’m kind of obsessed and I’d love some inspiration 😊
I want to see how other people style theirs, what charms you have, and how you decide what to add.
Do you follow a theme or just collect pieces you like over time?
Show me your bracelets! 💕✨

I finally found my “me” charm 🎸

A little update after my last post about my childhood charms: I ended up putting the dog charm back on my bracelet for now 🐶(& keeping the rest of them in my jewellery box for now)

I also finally found the retired guitar charm I’d been searching for, and it instantly became my favorite 🎸. I was a bit worried about authenticity since I bought it secondhand, but it has all the correct engravings ( Pandora, ALE, S925, and engraving on the back) and matches my other charms perfectly, so I’m feeling pretty confident about it.

More importantly, it’s the first charm that feels less like a memory and more like who I am right now.

Should I keep my childhood charms? 🐶🐴

Here’s my current setup 😊

I’m wearing the Infinity Clasp bracelet (17 cm) with my elephant, two hearts, moon charm and clips. I also have a safety chain, but since this isn’t a regular Pandora bracelet, I can’t use it on this one.

I still have some extra charms that aren’t currently on my bracelet: dog, horse, fish, two pink Muranos and another heart. The dog and horse are actually some of my oldest charms from when I was around 11 years old.

Lately I’ve been wondering whether I should keep those childhood charms or sell them since I don’t really wear them anymore. I’ve also been thinking about whether it’s worth getting a second regular Pandora bracelet so I can wear all my charms together, or if I should just keep wearing this bracelet and leave things as they are.

What would you do? Keep the extra charms for the memories, or sell the ones you no longer wear?
