How did surgical menopause impact you?

Hi all I am 26 and in December I had to have my last ovary removed. I am not currently able to take estrogen patch because it’s too risky I shouldn’t ever have one, but maybe down the line we can think of a micro dose. I already have osteopenia and I am freaked out by that but I am having an awful time with fatigue and not being able to sleep i’m on a schedule that keeps me from normal activities and I am dragging feet all day too. My iron is low but not horrible low. My oncologist told me my lack of hormones shouldn’t be making me this tired. I just I feel a little alone in all this right now. I don’t know what’s doing this I was doing much better before my last ovary was taken. Also… any other people have their hormones taken young and given any sort of medication for their bones? I keep asking about raloxifene but I keep getting pushed out… I don’t want to wait until my bones are swiss cheese in my early 30s to do something, what did you’re doctors do if you experienced this too?

Could these levels explain my bone tired unrelenting exhaustion?

I got my blood results in they say my iron is at 46 and my iron saturation is 12 my hemoglobin is 13 (so I think that rules out anemia but definitely an iron deficiency) I didn’t have my ferritin done again but when it was last checked in february it was 20 and I haven’t been taking any supplements so I don’t know if it would have improved or not. I am just constantly tired and I am struggling really bad with day to day basic functioning. I thought it was being in surgical menopause at 26 but my doctor said since it’s been since december I had my surgery that shouldn’t be what’s causing it so when I got these blood results back I was hoping this could explain it so I can start to feel better soon.

Questions to ask endocrinologist

I see an endocrinologist tomorrow my dexa scan was a little rough my z score on my back was -2.4 I think the rest of my bones looked decent. I am 26 but i’ve been in surgical menopause without hrt for about 6 months now. I have been diligently strength training since my dexa and taking all my vitamins but I am worried that even if my oncologist clears low dose estrogen it may not be enough for my bones. I was wondering what all questions I should consider asking the endocrinologist it seems like bone medications at my age don’t happen often but I want to prevent this disease not wait til it happens if that’s even possible for me

Anybody else struggling with insomnia?

Hi all i’m 26 I had a borderline tumor that was late stage with high risk features and it’s almost always hormone sensitive. I have been in surgical menopause since December and I have had every symptom under the sun. I think the insomnia is the most soul crushing. It is 8am and Is till have not slept. My doctor has me take trazodone I took two hours ago and it didn’t help tonight. I feel like I only have real expendable energy for strength training three days a week to maintain my bones since they’re completely unprotected and my dexa scan shows I have low bone density for my age (I was assured it doesn’t mean I have osteopenia). I feel a lot of judgement from others whether they intend to judge or not for how badly I am struggling with fatigue. I think actually sometimes people think i’m making it up. My hair dresser the other day told me that i’m not in real menopause. I don’t know… anybody else feel impacted hard by the insomnia and fatigue or is it really just me? Theres a couple of women I know who have had surgical menopause albeit they were older than me but still weren’t at an appropriate age for it and they didn’t have these issues
