Delayed messaging expected w/ OLD?

I’ve been a serial monogamist all my life and I’m still learning how to date, let alone OLD. My life is so busy, and I really only have time and focus for one person at a time. I’m talking to a guy I really like and we are going on a date this weekend. In the meantime I’m getting messages from other men that look interesting, but ignoring them. It seems drastic to pause my account when I don’t even know if this guy will show to our date, or what will happen if he does.

Do people expect messages to be ignored for a while? Is it considered rude to message them later if things don’t go anywhere with the guy im talking to?Feels silly to ask such a simple question but I’m clueless!

Hydraulic table job perk?

How much value does a hydraulic table add for you in your work? If you’ve worked at a place that has them, does it make a significant difference? Or do you think as long as you have proper time to turn the room over, it’s not that important?

Any advice for a new grad?

I just graduated massage school and I’m excited to begin my career. I’m a single mom and have had a lot of major life changes in the past year. I live in an extremely expensive area, and need to provide for my family financially. I’m also 46 years old and I want to do this for a long time.

Does anyone have any advice on working two jobs, one massage and one less physical job? I’m looking at medical receptionist jobs since I’m qualified and it will be helpful to learn that side of things since I eventually want to work for myself. There is a job very close to my home, I could walk there, and it’s 30 hours a week. Would doing massage only 10 hours a week give me enough experience to keep my career moving forward? I’m looking at the next few years as my science lab, where I’m going to be soaking up all the info about different bodies and how to creatively use massage techniques to ease people’s tension and pain.

Any thoughts or any other advice for a newbie greatly appreciated!
