So, I'm just beginning with MOA and it kinda feels off that Annabeth had a crush on Percy since TLT.

Sure, she looked after him and all, but it just doesn't feel right. And before anyone tells me this, I know she offered to stay in the underworld for him to rescue his mum, but still. What was the turning point that made her say "Ok, I like the guy"?.

Also, if she wasn't in live with him in BOTL, Idk how was she. She straight up hated Rachel for existing around Percy; cried the most when he went to and came from Calypso's island; and when she didn't know if Percy'd survived, she kissed him.

I'm not complaining that Annabeth's love doesn't fit my headcanon, but more about the fact that it makes her plainer as a character. Compare it to Percy: he started getting somewhat along with her, then she became a good friend, a crush he didn't know and lastly falling in love with her.

I don't know, that's just how I felt. I haven't read any complementary books nor I'm planning to so if there's anything I should know/ I got wrong, don't hesitate to tell me

Edit: Yeah, I see her growing feelings of him after she was saved from the Sirens in SoM.

It's exactly that. I've never been in a relatively serious relationship and I'd like to know how I could get into one.
