Awful person neighbor
I so want to do some payback to this absentee neighbour. His roofing sheets have been lifted up for months and possums had taken up residence. He was warned not to screw them down during the day as the possums would be trapped. Sure enough he got up and fixed them during the day and that evening the possum was scratching, trying to get out. He visited the house the next day to feed the chickens he has been hatching inside the house (he’s setting up a chicken farm elsewhere with no power, so he’s using this house to hatch and grow the chickens-stinks to high heaven). I approached him to tell him of the issue but he blew me off claiming that the possums can get out of the house via the back of the house. Our house is of the same design so I know that the front ceiling space doesn’t open to the rest of the house. After a couple of nights of hearing the possums trying to escape, I know I need to do something to rescue them. I try the RSPCA who tell me that I need to have SEEN the possum, which I haven’t, so I try a local wildlife rescue who kindly came and did a gorilla rescue by unscrewing the roof panel while the owners weren’t home. A couple of nights later, again with the owners not there, we refixed the roof so the rain wouldn’t come in. I wanted to dump a big piece of liver in there so it would stink him out. I have lodged a complaint with the council about the smell of chicken sh*t coming out the window. We’ll see where that goes. I would so love to give them a little grief as they are not very nice people. My neighbour and me mow their lawn when we do ours and never get a word of thanks either!
