It's been wonderful getting to spend more time admiring my beauties lately

  1. Amydrium (spider-man "monstera") - she sized up fast!

  2. Philodendron Campo - my cutting is still climbing high, and her leaves are starting to take on more mature characteristics!

  3. Anoectochilus Lightening Jewel Orchid - I recently tried to kill her (twice!!), but she seems to forgive me, haha

  4. Philodendron Selloum (Thaumatophyllum Bipinnatifidum) - I'm still learning her language, but she is pushing a little bit of growth for me since I got her this past winter).

  5. Alocasia Odora Batik - one of two leaves hardening (second pic incoming below!!

  6. Monstera Lechleriana - I'm quickly falling in love with her. I've had her since this past fall, but I'm really drawn to her a lot lately

  7. Pothos Lemon Meringue - my little trooper growing strong after her previous owner (MP seller) tried to murder her (and nearly succeeded)

8-9. Pothos Marble Queen - I'm hoping her leaves will start to size up again after a minor disruption to her growth, but her variegation is still getting a bit stronger. AND, I took her off her moss pole and just attached her to a garden stake. I was surprised by how much better she looked!

  1. Philodendron Billietiae - her third leaf since I got her (and I've got her baby Billie propping)!

  2. Monstera Mint - this is her second leaf in my care, and she seems to be growing faster than all my others mons

  3. Low Variegation Monstera Thai Constellation - She been with me for just over a year now, from a small plantlet!! She's still hardening off a bit, but she is stunning. My best and favorite baby!

  4. Alocasia Regal Shield - she's my biggest and this is her newest leaf still sizing up! She's currently maintaining 7 leaves!!

  5. Alocasia Maharani - she's bouncing back from a recent chop

  6. Philodendron Jose Buono - this was a surprise leaf for me!!! The way he was turned, I never saw it until recently. His last two are impeccable

16-17. Alocasia Dragon's Breath - my first TAPLAP! Got them (there are two corms) back in Oct. I traded a rooting (in stratum), sprouted Alo Green Unicorn for them!

  1. Alocasia Odora Batik #2 - her latest two leaves snuck past me!

  2. Alocasia Longiloba - this baby is a BEAST! She has so many babies going on around her base, too!! I posted them recently!

  3. Alocasia Regal Shield #2 - my second biggest RS. She's sporting 4 leaves after dropping one shortly after this one popped. She's doing amazing work still!

I'VE MISSED YOU GUYS!!!

It's been AGES since I last posted! AGES! I've wanted to sooo badly, but I had a bit of mental spell, followed immediately by my husband's spell, and THEN decided to sell our house at the same time/as a result. We came to realize we need a super drastic change to reset ourselves, so we embarked on a journey that has devoured all my time since the beginning of May - good news is we are under contract and due to close at the end of July, AND I am pretty sure I just found our new home, which has SOOOO much potential for my plant babies - so much natural light! They're going to really get a boost and THRIVE, and I just can't wait!

I'm looking forward to resuming THAT green journey with everyone again, because boy, I'm excited 😆 and I'm sorry I've been away as others have joined! I've been missing out!

1.) Impatiens (don't remember breed, but LOOK, she just started to bloom and is so pretty)

2.) Colocasia Pharaoh's Mask (newest leaf for me)

3.) Canna Gold Leopard (when I looked up a blooming one, I fell in love and scooped her up immediately)

4-5.) Alocasia Regal Shield (still growing and hardening off. 8 LEAVES, GUYS!)

6.) Philodendron Jose Buono (newest leaf is so unlike the rest - most leaves are green on green, but this one popped some beautiful white)

7.) Pothos Lemon Meringue (rescue. The person on FB marketplace left it out on her porche for pickup in 18°F temps, AND in the evening. I didn't realize she was going to do that. She declined within seconds. Her leaves drooped, I watched as she turned transparent in moments. Then brown splotches started appearing. In less than five minutes, all her leaves except for the bottom 2, were goners. When I got her home, I immediately chopped her back down to a firm nose and restarted her. I got my money back to say the least, but it was torture for that poor Pothos. She sprang back magnificently though)

8-9.) Alocasia Platinum, I think 🤔 (she's done very well since her chop/restart, and she had a corn sprout!)

10-11.) Pothos Marble Queen (she started developing more variegation!)

12-16.) Alocasia Longiloba (soooo much going on with her!!)

17-18.) Alocasia Frydek (so far my longest living one. I've lost 3. I really struggle, haha. But this one is doing great! That newest leaf is stellar)

19.) Alocasia Longiloba (grown from corm from the one with all the current corms/baby poppin')

20.) Plantlet Party 🥳 🎉 (mostly Alocasia, like Black Velvet, Azlanii, Green Unicorn, Melo, Morocco, Maharani, Polly, etc.)

I can't find a straight answer

I bought this as a Philodendron Linnaei, and Google identifies it as either an Imperial Green, or Green Congo, but...I'm not sold on either. Can anyone give a hand?
