True freedom open world games

So I got exposed to Kenshi a few years ago and if you don't know Kenshi its basically a game where you have no direction or quest marker its just 'Here's a world and people that don't give a fuck about you, make something of yourself...or die we don't really care'

but the beauty of this is you have a huge world open to you and complete freedom to become a shopkeeper, the mafia, a warlord, a thief, a slave forced to do minimum wage for the rest of your life - truly anything, my first playthrough I bought a shop after 40 hours of stealing and selling from towns to get the money up to purchase the place, turned it into a bread and alcohol shop for the wasteland wanderers, made BANK, died to a cult after wandering too close getting things i needed for more bread making capabilities. 10/10

there isn't a game exactly like Kenshi, completely no direction, make your own stories while still having a blast, big open world to do said things in,

BUT surely someone has something similar to Kenshi's level of become whatever you want SURELY Kenshi isn't the only game that's done this

The steam sale has me SCAVENGING for a hidden gem like it something more modern if anyone has suggestions please! <3 love you for life

Just open world, freedom, become whatever you want, do whatever {preferably newer graphics but I'm okay with older} just has to have this level of 'Life simulator' just living in a game world making it your own

thanks for reading this far, stay cool >:)

LF deep complex open world insanity with infinite replayability

So I've been playing Caves of Qud, CDDA, Neo Scavenger, Morrowwind, Kenshi, Dwarf fortress, ck3 {this one doesn't matter but still check it out :D }{Literal addictions.}

I absolutely LOVE the freedom {Open world}, the VERY deep character creation and INSANITY that can occur in caves of Qud, Procedural generation where every playthrough is different leading to thousands of hours of potential gameplay if you get sucked in enough, Looting gear / making you stronger through upgrades / leveling up skills / traits ig roguelike style? deep lore is also a plus {I like reading}

If you have a game that has the deep level of insanity of Caves of Qud, the open world procedural generation to once again have a completely new game every time you hit play, the absolute freedom to do WHATEVER {Attaching a limb to your body and equipping it with a literal SUN - Caves of Qud} , complex detail / game mechanics {Neo scavenger inventory complexity and the complexity of COQ and CDDA also} I love Neo for the survival and bunkering in a random abandoned home and filling it with sleeping bags and noise traps and bunkering up - the crafting system is so cool the menus are so cool idk...im weird haha,

The primary type summarized i guess would be, Open world - Looter - Survival - complex game mechanics / complex ways of doing things if you so choose - roguelike-ish? - Procedural generation - complete freedom, replay value, 5k hour possible game,

you get it,
I love these games and honestly I'm content with them alone but with the sale going on right now on steam and my family giving me some gift cards recently I wanna make sure there's not more GEMs out there to try yk?

Willing to check into anything so go wild!

And to anyone stumbling upon this and seeing a name above that you HAVENT tried...oh buddy jump in
