It feels like there's no in-between C and B rank in Fightcade

Does anyone else find themselves in this gray area between C and B?

The way I see it, C ranks are the decent, average players. Just one step above C, you hit B rank, and magically you're playing with people who've been playing fighters longer than you've been alive, who know the game inside and out, and have invested thousands of hours into perfecting their character.

I've become borderline paranoid with it, checking profiles before accepting matches or issuing challenges because of this. I'm all for sparring with better players to learn how a good player plays the game, but I do not want to play with these guys who have thousands of hours and will beat me before I can even blink! Right now, I defeat just about every C rank, but I lose every B and above game. I don't want to just play C's forever. I keep hitting B and then losing it.

I'm not saying this because I want to maintain my B rank and I'm not good enough. I'm saying it because I want balanced matches, man. It just really sucks that there's not an easy way to distinguish players by skill level before playing. It just feels like a tossup every time.

I'm sure that soon I'll improve enough to compete with these guys better but damn.

Choppy videos when recording fullscreened games in FBNeo fix

I'd like to share this just in case someone else has this issue in the future.

I use Nvidia Shadowplay to capture clips of all of my games. When using it with Fightcade (FBNeo) in fullscreen, they come out choppy. The reason, to my understanding, is just a simple technological mismatch in the way that FBNeo displays frames and recording software attempts to capture them. When using it windowed, this issue is nonexistent.

I found that Direct X9 is the only one available by default that causes this. You can switch to SoftFX to fix it immediately, but you'll lose access to some HardFX filters, such as scanlines. So if you want to continue using Direct X9, you simply need to enable VSync and full screen windowed.

Selecting these two settings completely fixes the issue, and gameplay wise, it feels the same. I tested it with multiple recording softwares, and the issue is present and fixable in all of them by enabling these two settings. I hope this helps someone down the line.

I drive an old 8th gen civic. When I first bought it around a year ago, it was lovely. Perfect low profile, standard vehicle. A few months in I had to fix the wheel bearings and rotors. Then the battery terminals were an issue. Then the starter. Now I've had to replace the coolant after I just filled it up 3 months ago, so I've probably got some kind of ghost leak that will be a bitch to find.

At what point do you just give up on this type of car? I love it, I really do. But my wallet is tired, boss. I've paid nearly what I spent for the car itself to my mechanic by now.
