Reverse seared picanha.

First try at this. 1.3 kilo picanha. Cooked it whole indirect before playing the hot sear flaming fat rendering kettle spattering direct sear game. After a rest and slicing into big thick steaks, decided to give those an extra sear on the cut sides just for the aesthetics.

Very tasty with jarred chimichurri and new potatoes. General success I think.

Couple of ribeyes for supper.

Quick Sunday flame grill ribeyes from Ocado with a warm beetroot and puy lentil salad. Just salt n' pepper on the steaks. Had a half decent red with them too, good times.

First kettle rotisserie chickens

I don't know why they look the size of hedgehogs, and I forgot to take a finished picture, but they were very well received by our gathering.

Chicken 1 I'll call Rum n' Dunn. It's marinated overnight in Dunn's River jerk paste and dark rum, mopped with the same near the end of the cook.

Chicken 2 is Brine n' Thyme. Dry brined, brushed with oil and stuffed with lemon, onion and thyme.

Cherry Wood chunks give a nice subtle smoke that my smoke hating woman seems to tolerate.

General success!

60 hours for a cheese and ham toastie.

Decided to do a Boston butt lechón asado and make cubano sandwiches to test out the new Onlyfire ceramic inserts.

24hr marinade

14hrs in the kettle with ZERO lid lifts

2 hrs rest

7 hrs chilling in the fridge

3 hrs slicing, prepping and chilling sandwiches

1 hour resetting the Weber kettle with flat griddle

5 hours sitting with guests drinking beers

1 hour pressing cubanos to varying appreciation.

3 hours clean up in the morning.

Loved every minute!

Trying out new rotisserie.

I got influenced into ordering the Onlyfire ceramic kit and rotisserie and tested it out with a little half lamb leg.

The rotisserie is great, seems well made, quiet motor, and nice long power cord.

Not so sure about the ceramic kit, it is nicely made but is it really worth the space it takes up on the charcoal grate?

To be fair this is probably not the cook for it and I didn't use the pizza stone deflector.

I'd be interested to hear more about those that have found it useful for low and slow, how it affects the snake method setup, whether I need to find narrower drip trays and if anyone's done real fuel efficiency comparisons.

Please don't tell me to buy a Wooly Bully though, that's not happening.

Lamb was good by the way, I made a garlic, anchovy, rosemary and lemon zest paste as a wet rub which worked nicely.

Hail Mary on Prime

I'm wondering if anyone is having issues playing this movie?

I have an LG B4 77 wirelessly paired with an LG S95TR sound bar. I generally watch via Amazon firestick 4k max which is powered by mains cable.

Everything on wifi

My issue is that Project Hail Mary keeps stuttering, freezing, then crashing out of the Prime Video app back to main firestick menu. This is happening maybe every ten minutes or so. Until it happens I'm watching the movie in dolby vision/Atmos without a problem.

Other apps like Disney+ are playing Dolby content without issue.

I tried using the LG prime video app to bypass the firestick and exactly the same thing happened!

I have powered everything off and on again and tried different picture settings (filmmaker, cinema etc) but it just keeps happening. I've made it half way but I'm really starting to hate this movie.

Anyone got a clue what's going on?

Amazon issue? TV issue? Wifi issue?
