Sixty days using Starkey HA for moderate sensioneural hearing loss in the left ear but I also have SCD. I’m not sure the hearing aid is helping. Sounds are distorted without the hearing aid and now with the hearing aid that is just amplified. I can’t hear any better and the distortion is very annoying. Has anyone found a hearing aid that works for both SNL and SCD? I’m thinking of switching to Phonak to take the sharpness out of the distortion. My audiologist has been making adjustments and suggested perhaps changing to the Phonak to see if I can get better hearing and less sharpness. Every “ch”, “s”, “sh” sounds are sharp and distorted. I will see my audiologist this week. Thank you.
