Console Players Will Never Know 🍎

Console Players Will Never Know 🍎

Console players are lucky to never know how expensive one apple could be in Once Human. 😂

Back in 2024, when Way of Winter launched, we needed Growth Boost Fertilizer for Tower upgrades — and crafting it required apples.

The problem? There were ZERO apple trees on the Winter map. 💀

The only way to get apples was to chop trees with a Silver Axe, which you could only craft if you were lucky enough to roll the right Memetic. And even then, apples had only a small chance to drop among the other fruits.

On our server, ONE APPLE could sell for at least 45,000 Energy Links. 🍎💰

So when you see an apple on console… remember:

You are looking at a former luxury item. 😂

🎮 Console Players: 5 Whim Potions You NEED to Know About in Once Human

Getting ready for the Once Human console launch? If you're new to the game, Whim Potions are definitely something you should know about.

Here are 5 Whim Potions I recommend getting early on:

1️⃣ Utter Delight
The most important one. It extends the duration of all your other Whim Potions, making it incredibly useful to have active.

2️⃣ Living Armor
Can save you from being knocked down by otherwise critical damage. Instead, it restores your HP, potentially saving you from having to use another Adrenaline Shot.

3️⃣ The Weaver
When you roll, it leaves behind a spider web that catches enemies, giving you some extra crowd control when you need it most.

4️⃣ Featherweight
Increases your load capacity, so you can carry more loot and resources without becoming overloaded.

5⃣ Aero Leap
Gives you a dash, adding extra mobility and making it easier to move around during combat and exploration.

But how do you actually get these Whim Potions? 👀
Which Deviations do you need? Where can you find them? And how does the whole Whim system work?

👉 I covered all of that in my full guide:
[WATCH THE FULL GUIDE]

If you're jumping into Once Human on console, this is one thing I'd recommend learning early! 🎮

6 Reasons Chef Is the Best Class for Your Main Character 🍳

If you're a future console player wondering which class to choose, Chef should be your first choice for your main character. Especially if you plan to play solo.

There are three real classes in Once Human: Chef, Gardener, and Beastmaster, plus Free Person if you don't want to commit to a class.

Here are 6 reasons why I strongly recommend Chef:

1️⃣ Double food & drink buffs 🍖🥤

Chef lets you have 2 food buffs + 2 drink buffs active at the same time.

You can mix and match them depending on what you're doing - farming, fighting, bosses, and pretty much everything else.

If your build isn't fully optimized yet, food and drink buffs can compensate for some of the stats you're missing. And if you already have a strong build, they simply make it even stronger.

If you're planning to play solo, these extra buffs can make a huge difference, especially when you're taking on difficult content by yourself.

2️⃣ Up to 8 perks on your Stove 🔥

Chef can get up to 8 perks/buffs on the Stove, allowing you to get the most out of your food.

Combine that with Chefosaurus Rex, and your food can become a surprisingly powerful part of your build.

3️⃣ Passive income 💰

Chef gives you an extra way to earn Energy Links.

With some extra effort, you can upgrade your Stove to increase its storage capacity, unlock better orders, and make orders arrive faster.

Keep it stocked with ingredients, complete the orders, and you'll have a steady little source of extra Energy Links while you're doing other things.

NPCs can place orders, and sometimes other players can order food from your Stove too.

4️⃣ Chef Points & Portable Fridge 🧊

Completing Stove orders also earns you Chef Points, which you can spend on various rewards.

One of those rewards is the Portable Fridge - something you can keep for yourself or sell to another player.

You can also redeem cooking ingredients, which can be very useful when you need something urgently and don't want to spend time farming for it.

5️⃣ Creative Cooking is completely optional 👨‍🍳

Chef also gives you access to the Creative Cooking system.

Don't like it? You don't have to use it.

I personally play without it and don't feel like I'm missing anything important. It's simply an extra feature if you enjoy experimenting with cooking.

6️⃣ No special skills required 🚫🧠

This is probably one of the biggest advantages for new players.

You don't need to understand some complicated system before Chef becomes useful.

You choose Chef → you immediately have access to the double food/drink buffs.

Then, as you play and learn the game, you can gradually figure out the Stove, unlock more perks, improve your orders, and make the whole system more rewarding.

You can benefit from Chef from your very first days on the server.

And honestly, once you've gotten used to playing with 2 food + 2 drink buffs, going back to playing without them feels painful. 😂

👑 So which class should you choose?

If you're making your main character, my recommendation is simple:

👉 Chef.

Gardener and Beastmaster can have their uses, but Chef gives your main character benefits that you'll be able to use constantly - especially if you're planning to play solo and want to get the most out of your character.

Welcome to Once Human, future console players. 🎮🍳

One of the beautiful things new players will never get to discover… 💜

Purple animals. 💜

They used to be a thing in Once Human, but sadly, new players won’t get to experience them anymore.

Console players are about to discover so many things for the first time… but this one will have to stay a piece of history. 😭

Who else is playing on PC/mobile but still hyped for the console release?

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy that console players will finally get the chance to experience Once Human.

But honestly, I'm even more excited about what the console release could mean for the community as a whole. I miss the feeling of 2024, when Once Human had just launched, servers were packed, and the game felt absolutely alive.

Here's hoping the console launch brings that energy back and Once Human gets to thrive again.

Lost at least 10 Come As One traits while trying to fuse this :D

To those who think I am alway lucky with my fusions - I am not. Five times in a row I had the same outcome - Leftover (40%) won over Come As One (60%). Then I said "F*** it!" and did fusion with 50%-50% chance for both traits. Worked!
