The recent update introduced 3 new facilities: the Hand-Crank Generator, Incubator, and Bait Box.
The third one I got my hands on was the Bait Box, and I wanted to share a mini tutorial on how it works along with some initial thoughts.
So far, I've found Bait Boxes twice in Evergreen, once in Highbanks and then I purchased 2 from the online marketplace(super expensive on my server!) because I wanted to test more!
The Bait Box can be placed in the wilderness and allows you to add food as bait to attract nearby animals. Once an animal is successfully captured, you need to return to the area and withdraw it from the bait box.
A few things I noticed while testing it:
My overall experience was a bit underwhelming, with 3 out of 5 attempts failing to capture anything. Though there was one funny thing that happened during my testing, I received the "bait box expiring soon" notification and rushed over to collect it. As soon as I reached the bait box, the animal (an ewe) got captured right in front of my eyes.
The bait box is quite difficult to obtain, is consumed after a single use, can only be placed one at a time, and there is no guarantee that it will successfully capture an animal even after waiting for up to 60 minutes.
Personally, I found the traditional method of capturing animals to be much faster and more reliable.
What has your experience been with the Bait Box so far? Have you had better luck with certain locations or bait types?

Saw this on pcmr and instantly thought of Once human
New player, mobile, started playing three days ago. Just unlocked tier 2 but I am running out of stardust now and my weapons are about to break. How can I get stardust as a solo player?
Is it finite or renewable/respawns?
I'm a new player, so I decided to start on the Novice Manibus server instead of taking on the Normal right away. It's been going well so far, but I was thinking about switching to a Normal server in a few weeks.
However, I read that I can't transfer my character to the new server, and apparently I also can't transfer the cosmetics I've obtained. Does that mean I lose all of my cosmetics except the ones I purchased?
Right now I'm trying really hard to get the Growthshroom skin from the battlepass. I've already opened so many crates without getting it, so I can't imagine having to grind for that skin all over again on a Normal server. If cosmetics don't carry over, does that basically mean it's not worth switching if I care about collecting them?
I also saw some people saying that only the Normal servers have shiny deviants, but I think that changed recently because I've already found shiny deviants on the Novice server.
So, besides the higher difficulty and better loot, what's the actual difference between Novice and Normal? Are there any exclusive features or rewards? Ty :3
I heard you can run almost any weapon and you'd still do decent damage. However, for me that may not be the case because I'm playing in an ED server.
I run SKS with 2 Setups (Crit setup / Weakspot Setup). And the damage is really good. However I tried changing to M4 Silent Anabasis Full elemental and yes, it doesn't really work as well.
I thought Maybe crit builds are superior overall so I'm considering trying something like the Bounce Bow or Primal Rage, I mainly do dream zones, Silos and run after the rift walker.
What are your thoughts about this, are crit builds really superior ? and which guns would be as strong in ED just like the SKS ?
Yes I know this asset likely appears in multiple locations, but I just noticed it last night while I was in a Rosetta base. So my headcanon now is that some Rosetta guy was a fan of Adventure Time before starfall

Also features a fun Rorschach test.

Congratulations! woohooo!
You've successfully spent 1-2 mins shooting a shielded Riftwalker while the mechanic sat there waiting to be touched.
Here's a 1 and 30 second guide that might help increase you DPS by the technique of... Activating the Rosetta interference Device.
Wink wink.

To be fair, I did need a rez...or 3.
I’m about 65 hours in. I’m absolutely lost with the Eclipse Cortexes and whatnot.
I don’t have any friends. I’m overwhelmed with the storage situation.
I’m scared my wolf friend is gonna die if I bring him to battle.
Also the starchrome stuff. Does that turn into stardust.
I came from Where Winds Meet but I got bored. I don’t want to get bored with this game.
