The nerve of Testimony meeting

So I was at church today and I guess it was fast Sunday. For those NeverMos on here that is the day where you skip a meal or two once a month and at church you go up to the mic and share your stories and testimonies about how the church is true and joseph smith is a prophet blah blah blah. And last weekend was General Conference and so many were sharing stuff about what they learned at conference. And what bothered me was My mother talked about family members leaving the church including my brother. And somehow that started a theme for testimonies talking about their children or family members who have left the church. Another lady comes up and talks about the same thing. Get this. A guy gets up to share his testimony and directly says this to my mom:
"Don't worry. Your son will come back. They always do"

Transportation Services Advice?

Hi guys. I have a question about transportation services. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta aka brittle bone disease. And that requires me to be in a wheelchair. Now I've heard of some services like Metro Mobility and I have ridden on the bus a couple of times but the last time they were late and they weren't as reliable anymore. This was around Covid time and I think I heard somwhere that there weren't many workers and drivers. It's 2026 now and I wonder if things have gotten better since. Is it worth receiving services from Metro Mobility? Or are there other transportation services in the city? Any advice is appreciated

Just read the CES letter and now I'm depressed

https://read.cesletter.org

So I was talking with an ex mormon friend of mine and he encouraged me to read the CES letter. I'm still reading the letter because there are a lot of sections but from what I've read so far, there were so many things I didn't know about. Joseph Smith made multiple accounts of his first vision, the Book of Mormon, the godhead, and polygamy/polyandry. I know there's more. I'm still reading it. I've heard of some of those topics before never thought much of it. I'm relieved that I'm not questioning my faith anymore. However, I can't help but feel so betrayed, hurt, and lied to my whole life. It's a lot to take in. If you've read the letter before, how have you handled it? Any advice on what to do? Because I still go to church to be with my family. And plus I have a disability and I really can't be at home by myself for too long. I don't know what to do

Book of Mormon confusion

I posted this morning about what I discovered in 2 Nephi 30:6 and I decided to search it up the history and meaning behind it. Apparently the change to "pure" underscores that the passage is intended to convey spiritual righteousness and holiness rather than literal skin color. I'm not sure if I believe that because in 2 Nephi 5:21 it talks about the curse and how that curse caused their skins to turn black. It does not make any sense. Btw I don't know what type of flair to be up there but yeah

The Book of Mormon changed a verse by one word

So this was brought to my attention yesterday that I did not know about when I was still Mormon. I was talking to one of my Ex Mormon friends and we were talking about how the Book of Mormon changed their verse in 2 Nephi 30:6 by one word. I found my old copy of the 1830 edition and I also one of my old Book of Mormons. In the 1830 edition, it says "save they shall be a "white" and a delightsome people" and and the other one says "save they shall be a "pure" and delightsome people" I found it interesting how it changed from white to pure. What are your thoughts on this? Why would they change it like that?

Blaze explodes to 73,367-plus acres, becomes 8th-largest in Colorado state history

I just saw a seperate report saying how the Aspen Acres fire is the largest fire than the Black Forest and the Waldo Canyon fire combined. Please stay safe ya'll and stay hydrated too 🙏❤️ prayers to those who are affected by this. And prayers to the firefighters who are risking their lives to save our beautiful colorful Colorado

BYU Pathway Mormonizing Math

I started back up with BYU Pathway and I'm taking a spreadsheet business class where I'm learning how to use Microsoft Excel. This is to potentially help me get my Bachelor's in Applied Health. I guess I have to take a couple business classes. I'm cringing reading this part. In case you can't see it, it says: "Excel requires you to follow a process to find a solution. This is like obeying the commandments and keeping our covenants.
Occasionally we make a mistake that requires us to step back and adjust and move forward again. The Book of Mormon story of Helaman and the 2,000 warriors found in Alma 34 teaches us that these young men kept the commandments with exactness. They fought against more experienced armies but were blessed, and none lost their lives. Remembering to complete a process in order and following the requirements is an important lesson not only for Excel but for life."
They're Mormonizing math 🤦‍♀️and I can't help but cringe

I hate lying. I hate pretending. I don't know what to do or how to feel😭

Hi. My name is MJ and I want to I share my story and hopefully get some advice. A little background about me. I was born and raised in the church. I was also born with a disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta also known as Brittle bones. My bones break easily. Growing up I always felt like an outsider in the wards I've attended throughout my life and I always felt mistreated and I never felt like I belonged. Here's an example and my experience of why I feel like an outcast I once an instance where when I was in young women's and we had personal progress (for those who remember that) and the leaders wanted to reward the youth for those who completed a project or whatever those things were. They had the choice of either going river rafting or going out for ice cream. My sister and I chose ice cream because it would be something I could participated in. And everybody else chose the rafting. I was so pissed off because water rafting isn't safe with my condition. I go to talk to the leader about it. And she had the audacity to say "We picked this activity with you (me) in mind" I was 14. Of course society most of the time mistreats me too so I'm not blaming the church entirely. However, when you've been born in a community where we're supposed to "love our neighbors" and "Look for the 1 out of the 99 sheep" makes me question if whether or not those were just words mormons say just to make themselves look or feel superior. I know the phrase "people aren't perfect" and "people make mistakes". We all do make mistakes. That's just human existance. But it's not owning up to your mistakes when it comes to mistreating people with disabilities. I fell away at age 18 and came back to church at age 19. I served a mission. At that point, I really wanted to believe the church was true. Because I was offered to serve a service mission. And at that point I really thought I was wrong to doubt the church. But on my mission, slowly I felt like I was being lied to and those doubts I once had before came back. And as time passed on, they just became so real to me. Currently, I'm still going to church but I feel like I'm living a lie. I say I believe in whatever the church's beliefs are and I feel extremely guilty because I really don't. Of course I believe in Jesus. He is the one thing I believe in. But I refuse to believe in a church where they contradict their beliefs to how they live in society. I'm a temple ordinance worker and a sunday school teacher. Every time I teach I just feel sick to my stomach. Whenever I'm at the Temple I want to leave. And before you go saying "Why don't you leave?" I can't. It's not that easily. With my condition I'm unable to live on my own. Some people with my condition can but that's not my situation. I live with my family and my family goes to church. I just don't know what to do and my feelings get stronger and stronger every day. I had thoughts about whether or not to take my name off the records and I know the process for that. I'm having mixed feelings and I don't understand them. I just can't keep pretending. And I just get angrier because like I said. I refuse to believe in a church where there's so much contradiction. I'm sorry for the long post. That is my story. Bye

Never ending ads

I'm new to Dailymotion. I'm using it to watch some animes. Anyways. I've noticed this a couple times so far. When I go to watch something and there's an ad in the middle of the video. But when the ad is done and I'm about to watch again, it goes back to another ad. And the cycle just continues. Is this a normal thing?
