I absolutely LOVE how they introduce Franklyn! That over the top, dramatic, single word - “PLEASE!” with the extreme outstretched arm that turns out to be a simple request for a tissue. Cracks me up every time!

And not to peek behind the curtain but when does Hannibal sleep?! On a given day, he works a full work day, has to mentally plan some sort of gruesome revenge or distraction tableau, shop for whatever he needs (e.g., steal a deer head), travel to where he needs to execute it (e.g., Boggs’ cabin), actually execute his plan, clean up all the evidence, travel home, and on some nights, prepare a 5 star meal for himself. Being a serial murderer cannibal is hard work!! Maybe that’s why he’s in such great shape! 😊

Just, why?!

Why am I so hooked? This is not like me…I’ve never watched a tv show over and over back to back. I’ve never watched outtakes videos or comic-con panels. I’ve never googled questions about the show or joined a Reddit subreddit. Why is this show so addicting?!!

Great casting

I enjoyed seeing actors I haven’t seen in a while or in roles we normally wouldn’t see them in…I’m a huge Eddie Izzard stand up fan and loved seeing so much of him. (Now that he’s Susan Izzard, I wonder if he would have taken the part? He was sooo good as Dr. Gideon.). And Molly Shannon as a kidnapper that trains kids to kill their natural families? Didn’t expect that. And I hadn’t seen Rutina Weasley since True Blood. For those of us of a certain age, I still think “Kids in the Hall” each time I see Scott Thompson. The angel maker looked familiar too but I was too lazy to look him up.

Wondering why …

Hannibal didn’t put a stop to Bedelia’s weekly purchase of 2 bottles of that specific white wine and the truffles? Both of them are smart enough to know that that would help anyone searching for them, the creation and maintenance of that pattern. I’m betting Bedelia’s motivation was for the FBI to ‘rescue’ her before Hannibal decides to eat her. Surely Hannibal sees that, too. Does he feel his own skills and abilities adequately mitigate that risk?

Uh oh…

Got a friend watching our show…she just finished season 1 and we’ve been chatting about her initial reaction. This was her last comment…

So, did Hannibal…

somehow cause Will’s encephalitis or merely take advantage of the situation? Google says it’s not contagious or communicable but I can’t believe that this was all happenstance.

Help me understand…

Freddie wasn’t really killed by Will, they had her tucked away safely at the FBI to fool Hannibal into thinking Will had joined the dark side. So, why / how did Price and Z confirm the body was Freddie’s? Surely the entire team wasn’t in on it, too risky. And if they were, why examine the body as a team? Where did the FBI get a spare skinny female body to set on fire and tie to a wheelchair?

I don’t like married Will

I almost stopped watching at the point where married Will was introduced. Everything
about him/that family situation just didn’t sit right with me. No chemistry between the three of them, no believability whatsoever as a family, I lost faith in the show. I’m glad I stuck it out. 😁

Just finished my first watch through

Literally screamed out loud a couple of times in the last few scenes of the last episode! (Don’t want to spoil anything for anyone.). So many feelings! So many questions! So disappointed that the 4th season isn’t being produced! Other than watching it again, where does an obsessed go from here?!

From the lobby of the JW Marriott in Venice. I spent so much time just looking at this in awe.
