Bowling YouTuber...

Just wanting to read the temperature of the room on this one. Do you feel that some of these bowling YouTubers talk out of their rear end? I have noticed that some of these and one I can think of in particular YouTube bowling "experts" seem to believe they must provide an opinion on something even if they have no clue what they are talking about. In some cases going as far as to ilegitimize other bowling YouTube channels with little knowledge of that channel. Unfortunately the one I immediately think of is getting more and more popular and embedded in the industry. Calling something bad because it doesn't work for you, but not taking the time to investigate and learn that its good for a lot of people that don't have bowl like you is not a trustworthy opinion. Luke Rosdahl didn't match up to the Hammer Effect but he did not label it a bad ball because he saw the success others were having with it..

Apex Jackal.. Really Good

The reviews were hit or miss on this one, but I followed Ron Hickland's advice and had mine drilled up like the one he made his second video about. 60x4.5x60 with 4 inch finger holes. The ball is amazing. Insane pin carry and energy. Its a shame that Motiv didn't seem to understand exactly what they had created, but it's great if you drill it correctly. I saw where the Hype shot 300 with his, but it sounds like he had a second one drilled up like Hickland's too and that is the one he shot 300 with. Pin is in the ring finger with that layout for Hickland, Hype, and me. I have been impressed with Motiv balls as a whole. Working on switching my arsenal over.

Battery usage??

Wondering if this is everyone's experience with their Escape PHEV. I have a 2025 Escape PHEV and even when setting the hybrid drive mode to eco/ev later the battery still gets used. Doesn't seem to want to hold the charge and not use it. I also have a 25 Prius PHEV and it will hold most of the charge on the battery unless you run in EV mode. Also I'm not getting but around 25 miles full charge during the summer. Is this normal?

Switching to Motiv/Swag

I've thrown everything (B7 now B6, SPI, Motiv, and Swag) and I have made observations that led me here.

Brunswick -HK22 performance fades with games rolled and can also be over under because of the sharp motion when hitting friction. I have the impression that Brunswick balls are designed to incentivise buying new balls.

SPI - is just ok. Not bad, Not great. I don't find them to be the balls they were in early 2000s. They obviously have some great performing stuff, but I just feel like they don't have very many balls that I can't leave home without. Some SPI products fall off while some don't. Bionic, Equinox Solid, Ion Pro Solid, Phaze 2, and the Typhoon are the standouts that I have seen.

Motiv - Consistent performance with little to no fall off as games are put on the ball. Also I do not find that Motiv has new ball carry. Its just good and stays good. Unlike the Brunswick brands that are dynamite for the first 10 games and then go downhill from there . Also a lot of Motiv balls come out of box closer to 4700 so no major change in ball motion as they lane shine. Motiv balls are smooth and continuous. I have not thrown a Motiv ball yet thst hasn't impressed me.

New SWAG - I refer the new SWAG as Motiv lite. If your ball speed at the pins is less than 16mph, SWAG is worth looking at. With the same layout on both balls, my Craze Tour Solid is a perfect ball down to my Venom Shock. Same ball motion and all, jut about 3 boards weaker with my feet. I see that the SWAG ball motion and pin carry is the closest thing to Motiv.

Based on all my observations, the ball motion from SWAG and Motiv give me the most miss room and pin carry of everything I have thrown. Working on converting all of the bowlers in my family. From what they have seen since I made the switch, they are eager to make the switch too.

Noise when accelerating on highway?

I recently purchased a 24 RTL with 18,000 miles. Noticed that while going down the interstate if I roll into the throttle It seems like the road noise changes instantly to a different pitch and then as soon as I let off it goes back to where it was before. I did just put new Firestone Destinations all way around on it. I have heard they are noisy. Its not the engine because it doesn't correlate with the engine rev/noise. I don't believe it's anything mechanical. Does tbis sound familiar to anyone?
