I swear packing school lunches is becoming a part-time job

Every August I convince myself this is the year I'll finally have a smooth morning routine. Then reality shows up. One kid suddenly hates sandwiches. The other wants everything cut differently than last week. I'm standing in the kitchen at 7:10 wondering why making one lunchbox requires the planning skills of an event coordinator. I'm trying to find things that are quick to pack, my kids will actually eat, and don't make me feel guilty every afternoon when I unpack leftovers. How is everyone else making school lunches less exhausting?
