I've been making some posts the last month or so about my flf. Long story short, an extremely rootbound repot with too aggressive root trimming has led to this point. Plant was healthy before this all.
Where specifically would you guys chop these 2 trunks in order to lead to the best looking grow back? Note that I've already taken a foot or so off of each. Praying it rises from the ashes!
Hey all. I posted a few days ago about my transplant shocked FLF and appreciated all the help. Since I cut so many of the rootbound roots off thanks to chatgpt's terrible advice, I now have some really bad looking brown leaves. The advice was to chop chop!
I'm looking for help on where you would chop this plant. As you can see, there is a thicker main stem and a thinner one that sprouted a but later. I've already taken a foot or so off each. I'm afraid I will get new growth at the top, but then have a barren stem if I leave it here.
So where would you chop to ensure survival, but also balance the best appearance once regrowth appears? Thank you!!!!!
Another repot post. I was a terrible person and left this FLF in the same 1 Gallon pot I purchased it in 5 years ago from Aldi. It was extremely rootbound as you will see in the last picture, so I gave it an aggressive root Trim.
It's been 3 weeks. I watered thoroughly after repotting. I just gave it a little more water as the top couple inches were drying. 1 leaf dropped yesterday, but you can see I'm getting lots of brown spots, loss of color, and droop.
Give it to me straight. Is this plant a goner? Anything else I should do other than have hope? I have "takeroot" rooting hormone that I thought of diluting in water and adding, but I don't want to stress the plant anymore.
