Did the removal of pay phones significantly change how criminals operate?

In countless TV shows and movies, there are depictions of criminals using pay phones to communicate. There’s even a movie from 2002 titled Phone Booth. I am aware that many criminals throughout history used pay phones for anonymous communication. Some even reported their own crimes to taunt the police. I can’t remember the last time that I saw a functioning pay phone. Did the gradual removal of pay phones cause a significant change in how people committed crimes?

I was so lucky yesterday

I have a lot of sleep problems because of my ADHD so I usually have a tendency to sleep during the day and be up towards the evening hours. (I’m an online college student so it works.)

I had a remote therapy session scheduled for 7 PM last night. I slept through my alarm and woke up at 7:30. Lucky for me, I also slept through the text that my therapist sent me saying that she was sick and needed to reschedule.

So my ADHD sleep issues and my ADHD tendency to not notice when I’ve gotten any notifications somehow canceled each other out. She’s not charging me a cancellation fee since she technically canceled first.

i’m taking it as a win.
