Current employee with the VA and my last 2 calls for an interview only gave me options within 2/3 days calendar days to schedule it.

In other words, I’m getting a call in the middle of work to schedule an interview that will require me request leave in 2/3 days. Wtf? How is this feasible?

With this most recent call today I asked if Friday was the only day available and was told yes.

Is this the new thing? Has anyone else experienced this?

I just don’t understand why. I am in construction, but my role is about 70% admin work, so I can’t be 100% work from home. But the paperwork is immense at times.

I feel like just having the option to work from home and/or having a compressed schedule would increase work life balance a lot. So why not? I only hear it’s because a supervisor simply says no. No details as to why.

Edit: I referring to those in leadership that 100% have the authority to make the change.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some games that are hella fun for everyone. 5v5s where it’s so close, things are a good back and forth, everyone is maxed out. But if you have half the teams kills, and keep spamming don’t end when we’re at the nexus at 10-15 mins… just stop.

That person with 1 kill on a random champ is probably not having the most fun. Others might just want to go next. It’s not fair to them to be forced to stay for your own entertainment. Just saying.
