Seriously done with c.ai. What platforms are actually worth migrating to?
The recent server drops and the total lobotomy of the bots have finally broken me. I used to love this app, but it’s just not usable anymore for decent roleplay, and I’m ready to pack up my custom characters and leave for good.
I've been looking around for a solid replacement that handles custom personas well. I tried Janitor AI, but the interface feels a bit overwhelming on mobile. Someone on a discord thread recommended Emochi, so I made a quick account—the character memory and scorecard setup seem promising, but I haven't spent enough hours on it to know if it holds up long-term. I also looked into SpicyChat, but those free-tier queues are brutal during peak hours.
Honestly, I just want a platform where the bots don't forget the entire plot after 10 messages and where the system filter doesn't treat you like a toddler.
For those of you who successfully escaped c.ai, where did you end up settling down? Which app is actually worth the time to rebuild my private bots on?
