Drive and Coast Won’t Agree (gear pattern)
GM 9.5 semi float 14 bolt. Too shallow on the drive or call it good? Coast looks deep imo. Backlash is 0.005-0.006.

When I took my 107 2 years ago, there were no provisions about being both a pilot in command and the driver of a vehicle at the same time. The wording only specified being in a sparsely populated area with no mention of who is the driver. I just renewed my 107, and it explicitly states you can’t be both the driver and the pilot.
When was this implemented? This was changed recently, right? Are there any exceptions for autonomous drones? I have a Skydio that is effectively an expensive paperweight now. Would I likely be able to get a longterm waiver (say 2 years) for using the GPS beacon in the middle of nowhere (dirt roads) if no other vehicles and aircraft are in the immediate area? There’s a million YouTube channels that do this. They all can’t possibly be breaking the law, right…right?
