My Dad thought Kurtis was Benson Boone

I (19F) was washing dishes after dinner while my parents were over and had Kurtis in my headphones. My dad (67M) walked by and said “are you watching Benson Boone?” I was confused what he was referring to before he pointed at my phone in which i started laughing. I explain who Kurtis is (he doesn’t care) and I cannot get this out of my head since

My cat is destructive but I know she doesn’t mean to be

I’ve had my cat Cinder for 4 years at this point and I have continuously had a problem with her pushing things off of counters because she needs something (food, to be let out, etc). I understand that she’s asking for something but doesn’t know how else to tell me, but it’s becoming progressively problematic. She has pushed full cups of drinks into my desktop computer when I get up to grab something, she’s shattered glass, caused mold (from said drinks) and overall it’s not really a habit I want to keep endorsing. However, not only do I not know how to fix this issue, I feel bad knowing that she wants something and I refuse to give it to her cause she’s not asking “my way”.

Edit: (for clarity) I don’t necessarily care about her knocking stuff over, I care more about finding better ways for her to communicate with me. How to change her communication style and tips on knowing what communicating is within cats. Cinder has no other behavior issues and is universally loved among all my friends and family. Shes also notorious for just screaming for seemingly no reason other than to scream.

TL;DR:
My cat knocks stuff off of counters to ask for stuff and I want to know how to stop that.
