Hi everyone.

Please pardon the strange question, but I have a terrible fear of insects that's been steadily growing worse, and I've heard that exposure therapy can be a good thing to help control it. I've also heard that some entomology departments in universities offer tours where they explain insects to visitors and maybe also offer some handling/looking at them behind glass. I think that this would be helpful for me to deal with my fear.

So, I was considering contacting the department to ask whether they would be open to this, but first wanted to ask the community of whether UMD hosts these sorts of opportunities at any point during the year to the general public. I wouldn't want to schedule something that they already offer sometime later.

If it helps, I'm starting my 2nd year at UMD this fall.

Hi all! I've recently noticed that my hair has been breaking a lot near the place where I always put it up in a ponytail, and I'd like to avoid that moving forward.

But, I don't know of any hairstyles I could do beyond down or ponytail and I don't feel comfortable with keeping my hair down all the time. All the styles I've seen online are super fancy and complicated, so I feel too intimidated to try them. Does anyone have any ideas?

Please keep in mind that don't have anyone to help me do any styles and I'm not at all dexterous, so anything too complicated is almost impossible for me.

If it helps, my hair is about waist-length and dead straight. I can attach pictures if needed.
