Because Canada has allowed Chinese EVs into its market in limited quantity, Canadians are now buying a Tesla model 3 which costs $42k USD in America for just $29k USD. This is like the premium model too
I've seen people on this subreddit defend the ban on these cars for all sorts of incredibly regarded reasons. For some reason, there is not even a room for discussion on even allowing a limited import to use as a small bit of pressure on domestic car manufactuers.
