Turning personal power into burst area powers?
Mechanically, how would one have a personal power turn into a burst area power? I've seen the idea bounced around for enhanced advantages with area burst as a means to buff a lot of different people. How would you rule/have someone making something like enhanced trait or variable be turned into a burst area? Additionally, how would you rule it so that the caster could also benefit?
Burst area first clarifies that it can only be applied to something with close range. Personal powers can basically (but not RAW) become close with the affects others extra. Would you rule it as having that qualifies it for burst area? If it does, does the caster still benefit? Burst area on close specifies that if the caster wants it they need to use an extra point per rank and that's equivalent to taking the affects others. So why take both?
