Front PDC sensor damaged by a small rock

Hi everyone,
Today, at the end of a road trip, I noticed while parking that the front center-right sensor on my 2026 BMW X3 was throwing a ghost reading (detecting an obstacle that wasn't there). When I got out to inspect it, I realized a small rock had hit the sensor, and it will probably need to be replaced.
I wanted to know if anyone has experience with this or knows if it's a DIY job I can do at home. I know the sensors are easily available online, and I'm wondering if it might just be a matter of removing the front grille to get access to that center-front sensor.
The dealership charges USD 930 for the sensor, and USD 660 for labor because they need to remove the front bumper.

Any experiences or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!
