What do you think of a tactical Boruto fanfic without aliens and with a male Uchiha for Sarada’s twin? Looking for ideas
Hi everyone!
I'm planning to write a Boruto fanfiction that moves away from divine power-scaling and returns to the classic Naruto feel: tactical combat, strategy, village politics, and worldbuilding.
The story follows a male Uchiha (Sarada's brother, same age) who acts as a "reinforcement" genin, rotating between different squads depending on the mission. The goal is also to pick up unused lore, plots, and characters from the series that deserve more spotlight.
I'm planning to completely cut the Otsutsuki/alien storyline, but I still want to adapt Kawaki and Kara through a 100% human, shinobi-based lens (reimagining their origins as grounded/scientific rather than extraterrestrial).
I'd humbly love to get your thoughts and ideas on a few things:
- How do you feel about dropping the alien plot while keeping Kawaki and Kara as human threats?
- What kind of missions, team-ups, or dynamics would you like to see for a genin who rotates from squad to squad?
- What underused lore or worldbuilding elements from the original series do you think are worth exploring?
