Interview date: June 18 2026

Embassy or consulate: Montreal, 🇨🇦

Arrival time and check-in process: My appointment was scheduled for 9:15. Arrived at the embassy 8:30. No one was in line when arrived.Officer checked passport and photos.went to security and then elevator to 1st floor then you need to go to as desk were they will ask for documents

At Desk: -Passport

-Passport photos

-Birth certificate

-PCC

They kept all this documents in one file and gave back the file

First window: Ask for the file with documents and confirmed Canadian address and number

Second Window: Biometeics-fingerprints - took maybe a minute

Third Window: Interview(about 5 min)

Documents brought:

-passport

-two photos

-my birth certificate

-PCC

Documents Brought- My all original docs and all copies submitted on ceac

Documents checked: passport, passport photos, birth certificate, police certificate

List of Interview questions asked:

First window:

Current address and confirm address in the US,

If I have ever had any other names and confirm my phone number

Third window- interview

Who filed for you and Name ?

What are you doing?

What is your petitioner doing ?

Any problem at border?

Confirmed status of petitioner

Interview duration: 4-5 minutes

Decision given at interview: approved

When visa was issued/when you got your passport back: status was updated in 30min. Waiting for Passport

Advice for others: super quick, I was actually inside the building maybe 45-50 minutes in total. The staff are super nice and helpful and there’s absolutely no need to be nervous at all.
