Renting in Antwerp: How can I verify the landlord?
I posted before that I’m looking for a studio in Antwerp. I posted in Facebook groups and checked Marketplace, and I contacted 7 people.
What made me suspicious is that all 7 of them live outside Antwerp. Some asked for money for the viewing, and some wanted me to pay after a virtual apartment tour and the keys would be delivered, they were all obviously SCAM.
Only 2 out of the 7 gave me an appointment for an in person viewing.
I have a viewing tomorrow ( 25m² studio, 2018 Antwerpen m, 750 all-in ) What should I ask or check to make sure she is really the owner or has a (volmacht) from the owner?
How can I verify this before paying anything?
