A quick hydration tip with electrolytes
Remember to stay hydrated with drinks that contain magnesium, sodium, and potassium. It really helps with focus and energy.

Hello! I'm looking for an (affordable) printing or copy shop in the city center (preferably Sint-Andries, Groenplaats, Grote Markt, or KMSKA area) because I need to print documents for university and I don't have a functioning printer at home now. I can go to the KU Leuven library at Opera but as much as possible I don't want to travel all the way there.
Any leads would be super helpful. Thanks!
Hi,
we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Westminster’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Famille vs. Kachina Southwestern Grill), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.
Here’s the iPhone version, with categories that actually fit Westminster’s food scene:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota-restaurant-ratings/id6744969212
And here’s the Android version (finally live):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app
P.S. I’m not from Westminster (I live in Gothenburg). I’m not collecting data, not selling anything, and the app does not use AI-generated content. I’m posting in a few different subreddits because we now support more regions, and I genuinely want honest feedback from people who actually know the area.
Hey, isn't the capital of Flanders that French city, Bruxelles?
Bruxelles?! Stop right there, you are making every Flemish person's eye twitch!
Historically, Brussels was a 100% Dutch-speaking city. But over the last 200 years, it went through what historians call "Fransification" (Verfransing).
Basically, French became the language of the elite, the government, and high society. Speaking Dutch was treated like being a peasant, so everyone switched to French to look fancy. It is the ultimate historical plot twist: the capital of Flanders barely speaks Flemish anymore!
So to answer your question: No, it is Brussel! It should be Dutch! But thanks to 19th-century peer pressure, you now have to order your frietjes in French. 🍟

My child was hospitalised few days and the bill just hit the mail. I come from a European country which hospitalisation is free and well regulated. So when I saw the bill I was in shock. The bill came to around 220€?!? They charge us for me staying with my baby, which is required as he is a baby still, also for the diapers?
I am still in shock. Is it normal here?
Hey everyone! I’m moving to Antwerp soon for a summer program at the University of Antwerp. I’ll be staying around Sint-Rochusstraat.
Since I'll be living on a pretty strict student budget, I want to map out my food options early. So, I’m looking for suggestions for restaurants with student-priced meals. TIA ❤️
Hey allemaal!
Antwerpen never ceases to amaze me. Living here for two more days.
Hey everyone, this is a real shot in the dark but I'm genuinely shattered at having lost/stolen my old 3DS. I wouldn't mind other than the fact it has my old photos growing up and a game I used to play religiously in it. I just came back from travelling a few cities so it's really really looking like I will never find it.. but if I could get help I'd be willing to pay a small reward.
Details:
Aqua Blue Nintendo 3DS
Location:
Antwerp/Strasbourg/Zurich.
It was these cities I was exploring while I had the 3DS in my bag.. really any help would be greatly appreciated.
We’ve noticed many phones and laptops that look completely dead can actually still be repaired.
Recently we repaired:
• Broken iPhone screens
• Samsung charging issues
• Water-damaged laptops
• Consoles that wouldn’t start
In many cases, repair costs are much lower than buying a replacement device.
Curious what people here usually do:
repair or replace?
The nickname of my city, Antwerp ( Belgium ) is: de Koekestad. Wich means : the city of cookies. It was because of the many cookie factories in the past.
PS Dont forget to tell also the real name of your city !
An upvote is appreciated!
I want to study and move to Belgium and the master's degree I'm interested in (Pedagogische Wetenschappen) is in Dutch. Thus, I wanted to spend around 2 years just being a language student to learn the language at the necessary level before applying for the degree and actually be competent (C1).
If it helps I'd prefer to apply for the degree at University Ghent. Still, I have no problem moving to Ghent later on if the other two cities offer a better structure and courses when it comes to learning Dutch. So which one do you think is the best?
Hey everyone,
I’m pretty new to Antwerp and still trying to get a feel for the city, so I had a bit of a random question.
What are people here more into on a day-to-day basis, coffee or energy drinks? Like, is it more of a strong coffee culture where everyone grabs a latte or espresso, or do people also tend to go for things like Red Bull or other energy drinks during the day?
