We are on holliday from Belgium in Czechia and visited Karlovy Vary for several days, now heading to Prague and surrounding area.
This is our second holiday in two years in Czechia. Last year we visited for the first time. We fell in love. What a beautiful country you have. Very hospitable people too. The Czech cuisine is absolutely magnificent. Prague is the crown jewel, we can't get enough of it. But also smaller towns an castles and forests are amazing.
For us, we will visit Czechia regulary from now on. We love your country, its history, its nature, its architecture... Central Europe is a vibe. With love from Belgium 🇧🇪❤️🇨🇿
Since I was a child I have a fear of peacocks, especially for their feathers. I always have an uncomfortable feeling when I know there are peacocks present when I travel to a place where there are peacocks present or maybe present. When I see the feathers, I experience 'a shock' and than I can get a warm feeling. I close my eyes than and I just want to exit the place as soon as possible. Weirdly, I also have a feeling of me being watched when I'm in a room with the feathers (and not immediately aware of them), but most of the time I'm right and there are feathers in the room.
I don't know why I'm so scared of them. Is it the flasy colours? The weird looking of the feather? The eye? The fear the feathers touch me when the birds are around? I don't know. Maybe all of the reasons...
Peacocks themselves are very unpredictable. They can just suddenly spread out those feathers and run after you for a couple of meters or change direction. Then they do that 'weird dance' and they're so loud.
Are there also people here with the same feeling towards peacocks (and their feathers)? And how could I even deal with it and get over it eventually?
Thanks in advance!
