we have seen a beautiful apartment and in a good location. We went for a viewing and were happy about it. The thing is when we talked with the agent, they asked for the deposit to be in the owner's account or cash. It sounds like a scam but I check the agency company and it is a registered company for a long time. The property belongs to the agency as well.The property is in Antwerp but the agency is in another city. The agency have no website so I am not too sure to trust them or not. They said we will sign the contract and pay the cash deposit on the same day and after 2 weeks we can receive the keys when the expert comes to check the property.

please enlighten me, does that sounds as sketchy to you as well? It was hard to find a property that we like and was hoping this is not a scam

Seems like they either don't choose us or we didn't like the apartment as we did in the pictures. competition seems quite tough. I looked through immoweb and FB but no luck so far.

pregnant now at 5 months. As I am in EU, gratuity is not mandatory and most of the time we only get 2-3€ a day. I am wondering if you were in EU and don't get any extra money, would you stay and work longer, until the end of your pregnancy? Feel like it is not worth it. Here I could get sick leave but pay is less, like 60%.

I was wondering when did you guys start yours? I mean 1 week before birth in a high intensity job sounds like a nightmare to me. Even with office work, I feel like 1 week only before birth is not enough time to really prepare and rest before the arrival of the baby!

I am 17 weeks pregnant, went to the midwife today. My blood pressure was 107/36, she asked me immediately ' are you feeling ok? your blood pressure is very low' . She just told me afterwards to eat something salty.

I am not too sure if I should be concerned, I checked online and it is suggested to keep close look and contact the doctor, but the midwife didn't say much afterwards. Anyone have similar experience?

I am 14 weeks pregnant and work as bar manager. I literally do everything and the last 2 days, I have a lot of cramps while working, in my lower abdomen which I will have to discuss with my doctor. Everything in our bar is quite low so it requires constant bending. I don't lift very heavy items anymore but occasionally will lift something up to 10 kilos or so. I am on my feet almost 8 hours, we have a break of 25 minutes which I will seat and eat. I run around quite a lot as there many things to settle. I work late shifts, serve drinks and do cleanings of the bar.

I start to think if the cramping is from overworking but at the same time I don't think that I work as much as I used to. I feel like I am weak and don't know if I could work up until I am 38-39 weeks. How do people do that?

these days the weather has been insanely hot and in this apartment that we are staying there is no air con and it is also not allowed to install one. We have a fan but is not helping too much. We have young kids and they are sweating so much and they feel very uncomfortable.

what do you guys use to beat this heat?

I live in Belgium, pregnant with my third and my back has been killing me. Previous pregnancies back pain was not that bad. Although I am just 9 weeks , I cannot stand for too long, my back aches so much.

I am an F&B supervisor so I am constantly on the floor running and working, lifting as well but lately i try not to lift too heavy. I am on my feet 7.5 hours and 30 minutes break. I try to reach my doctor today but the office was already closed. I am wondering if the doctor will tell me to take a sick leave, so I can rest at home. However I feel like 9 weeks is too early, right?

I asked before on the group if 1550€ was too expensive for a furnished 2 -bedroom apartment with bills included in the price. Everyone seem to think it is a crazy price. But prices i see are around 1000-1100€ plus 100-200 for the communal cost. Without even bills yet. Saw all that on immoweb.

I just found out that I am pregnant. I work in horeca in a big company, was there for 3 months and just signed a permanent contract 4 days ago. I feel guilty as I just signed the contract and suddenly announcing I am pregnant won't be viewed so positively! But at the same time, my job requires a lot of lifting and standing the whole shift, running around on peak times, finishing late shifts and very stressful.

My child was hospitalised few days and the bill just hit the mail. I come from a European country which hospitalisation is free and well regulated. So when I saw the bill I was in shock. The bill came to around 220€?!? They charge us for me staying with my baby, which is required as he is a baby still, also for the diapers?

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and work as a waitress 4 months now in a restaurant. I was wondering if it will be ok to work up until my tummy shows? I kinda need the money. I haven't seen any pregnant waitress here so far and that triggers my curiosity. At my workplace, I know later on it will be hard to keep up as we are constantly understaffed and run during peak hours. We also have to carry heavy boxes and crates, which I do believe they won't make me carry them. I also leave the restaurant most nights at midnight and cover many extra shifts.

What is the norm here?

with my previous one, I started showing earlier but not that early. I am medium build not skinny whatsoever.

I just found out that I am pregnant and want to know all about the hospitals and what insurance will I need. I am registered with solidaris, but just the basic one, do I need to upgrade it?

Also I am not with any doctor yet, do I need to find one or I can just book an appointment and go to the hospital to do my check ups?

I read many great things about Sint Augustinus but is quite far for me. How about Sint Vincentius and AZ Monica? In terms of giving birth?

we have been thinking to have another child and was wondering how common is vbac here? I had c-section before and it's been 2 years now. In my home country, vbac is not common and you have to actively fight for it and pay a lot. Is it the same case here or do they encourage it like many other countries? I would like to have an idea of how things are running here.

so my child started school here not long ago, specifically kindergarten. It is weird to me that in the morning they leave the kids out in the playground to cry until 8:30 and then they get in classes. Also on their break to play outside, 2 teachers to supervise 80 children? How is that normal? my child got injured many times in school and i had talked to them multiple times about that. I don't know if I am exaggerating the matter because it is my child or if that indeed is not very normal. In my home home country is 1 teacher per class, so 1 teacher for 20 kids.
