I’m planning to switch to another community college, probably one of the LACCD schools (I’ve been looking at LACC). I mostly take online classes, but I’ve gone to SMC before. At SMC the Pell grant disbursements always felt kinda slow, random, and late asf. I’ve heard LACCD schools are more on time and consistent with financial aid, is that actually true?

I’m also planning to take summer classes from June to July. Do LACCD schools (or LACC specifically) split summer Pell into two payments or do you get it all at once? At SMC I remember getting summer Pell in one lump sum. Just trying to plan ahead because books are expensive lol.
