Kraken Tells Me to "Get Verified" After I've Already Been Verified

Yesterday, I registered for an account on Kraken. I verified my identity and it was successful. However, every single time that I try to add a bank account or debit card to my account, I am told that I need to "Get verified". I already got verified. Why is this happening?

Coinbase is Now Demanding Private Details About All of My Transactions

I previously posted on here about the endless copy-pasted feedback loop that I was going through regarding Coinbase failing to verify my identity: https://old.reddit.com/r/Coinbase/comments/1vk163h/coinbase_refuses_to_verify_my_identity/

In my most recent email from a Coinbase employee, however, they actually took things a step further:

>Thank you for your response. As part of our review, we'd like to learn a bit more about your Coinbase account so we can keep things moving smoothly for you.

>Could you please answer the following: >1. Why did you sign up for Coinbase, and what do you plan to use Coinbase for? >2. Were you directed by a third party to create this account? >3. Were you directed by a third party to transfer funds? >4. Does anyone besides you have access to your account or login credentials?

>Additionally, we're reviewing some recent activity on your account related to crypto sends to external wallets. Could you share the following details: >1. Name of the recipient >2. Your relationship to the recipient >3. The purpose of sending these funds >4. Website if available >5. Is anyone instructing you to send funds?

>Additionally, I understand you've been facing issues previously when submitting your IDV. At this time, we need to ensure that we can match your photo to the document you provided, and you will need to submit an IDV liveness. Please try again using the link below: https://www.coinbase.com/verify-document?liveness=true

>For a successful submission: >1. Make sure your face is clearly visible - no hats, sunglasses, or accessories. >2. Choose a well-lit environment for the best photo quality. >3. Ensure the document you are using is not expired or damaged.

>I highly suggest you utilize the device you used in your most recent selfie that you provided as the quality was much clearer.

>I look forward to your response.

So, in other words, they are now demanding that I provide them with the private details of every single transaction that I've made and then they followed up those demands by once again telling me to do the exact same thing that I've been trying to do over and over again.

It is literally impossible to verify your identity on Coinbase. Their AI absolutely will not recognize the pictures, no matter how clear they are. The one time that a human supposedly assessed an image of mine, I was told: "Thank you for your submission. Unfortunately, the image you provided is quite blurry, and we’re unable to proceed with the verification process." The picture was as clear as day and everything could very easily be read. After that, all emails were simply telling me to verify my identity online, which, again, I have tried to do endlessly.

However, actually demanding that I tell Coinbase staff every single detail about every single transaction that I've made makes this a million times worse. Is this not exactly the sort of thing that cryptocurrency was created precisely to avoid? Quite frankly, it is absolutely none of your business who I send money to and why.

I suppose that I'll never get back the money that I currently have in my Coinbase account. I will never be using Coinbase again, and I will be strongly discouraging others from using it as well.

Coinbase Refuses to Verify My Identity

When I first registered on Coinbase a few days ago, it made me verify my identity by taking pictures of my state ID card and a picture of my face. It eventually worked.

Recently, however, when I tried to send someone money, it randomly made me do this again - and, this time, it absolutely will not accept my identity no matter what. Most of the time, I've gotten a "Verification Failed" screen; other times, I've gotten other error screens. My pictures have been as clear as day, and I did everything that I was supposed to do.

I tried contacting the mods here to see if I could verify my identity manually. They told me that they sent my case to the "escalations team" and that I would be emailed about it. I then received an email telling me to do the exact same thing that I've been doing over and over again:

>Upon reviewing your submissions, it seems the images are blurry, likely due to movement while holding the ID or using a desktop camera. To help ensure a successful submission, please follow these steps:

>1. Sign in to your Coinbase account: https://www.coinbase.com/signin >2. Complete 2-step verification as usual. >3. Use this specific link to access the verification page: https://www.coinbase.com/verify-document?facematch=true >4. Upload or take clear photos of the front and back of your government-issued photo ID. If using your device’s camera, ensure the ID is clearly visible. >5. Take a live photo of your face (a "selfie") using your device’s camera. Make sure the photo is well-lit (preferably in natural light) and clear.

When I brought this up to the mods on here, I was told "Our escalation team has reviewed your case and provided next steps. To complete your verification, please resubmit your ID photos via the Coinbase mobile app with your document laying flat on a clear surface."

I do not have a phone. I tried using my brother's phone to do this yesterday, but it still didn't work. They are literally just telling me to do the exact same thing that I've been doing over and over again.

Am I just never going to be able to use Coinbase now?
